The problem with maf books

Math books are hard to read when you think you already know the material. It’s harder than if it were actually confusing material, because I’m sitting there wondering the entire time why I don’t just skip to the next chapter, because the book just spent 4 pages giving a billion examples of bases, but I know that if I don’t read through it I’ll miss something interesting.

Mmm… Algebra!

…as my 7th grade algebra teacher would say. So I found myself singing my linear algebra textbook to myself to the tunes of songs from Broadway musicals. Math + Lack of music = Crazy cake.
